MARCEL MILLER ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OF ITS PUR COLLECTION

Marcel Miller has announced the expansion of PUR, its award-winning Luxury Eco-Cotton bedding Collection. To create PUR, the company worked with a leading fair trade Co-op of master Peruvian Artisans. Upon its introduction in 2007, the collection received rave reviews, winning a Best New Product Innovation award at the New York Gift Shown, for its pioneering use of eco-friendly homespun Tanguis cotton. Prior to the current expansion, the collection was limited to handmade cotton coverlets, throws, blankets and shams. “We did not have the capability to deliver a more complete Eco-luxury bedding collection to buyers. The introduction of our new organic cotton sheets and duvet set, takes us one giant step towards our goal of making PUR the premier Eco-luxury collection on the market” noted the company’s founder and CEO.
The new PUR organic pima cotton sheets are generously sized with 18” pockets on the fitted sheets. The flat sheets are finished with simple elegant top-stitching…classic minimalist Marcel Miller! The duvet set is where the style really shines! The Marcella duvet covers and shams feature sumptuous expanses of organic Pima cotton percale with beautiful gathered stitches, which impart fluffy fullness and a flirty casual ease. The look is decidedly playful, a welcome respite from the staid formal style of most luxury bedding collections. Both the sheets and the duvet sets are in natural un-dyed ecru, a signature of the line. “The Marcella design breaks new ground for Marcel Miller. The design evolved over several iterations and sketches before the team finally settled on a pure vintage style” stated designer Marcela Varon.
